Soccer giants, Simba and Yanga, are already eyeing their ‘Nani Mtani Jembe 2’ tie to be held at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam next month.

While Yanga have given their players a 10-day leave, Simba have released their players for two weeks prior to starting preparations for the mouth-watering match.

The sides will lock horns on December 13 in the tie coordinated by their main sponsors, Tanzania Breweries Limited (TBL) through Kilimanjaro Premium Lager brand.

It will be the second time in a row since the ‘Nani Mtani Jembe’ campaign started last year.

Simba won the inaugural campaign after beating Yanga 3-1 at the same venue last year.

According to Yanga secretary general, Beno Njovu, the Jangwani Street side has already started training but will officially start preparations when their first choice players arrive.

'We have given our boys 10 days to rest and they will, then, start official preparations for ‘Nani Mtani Jembe 2’. We hope we’ll perform well in the game,'Njovu said.

Simba information officer, Humphrey Nyasio, said his squad has been given two weeks to rest and the players are expected to assemble on November 21 for training.

'A match against Yanga is very competitive, so, we have to be well prepared. But we believe we will emerge winners, we know what we are doing,'Nyasio said.

He also urged Simba fans to support their team during the campaign.
Kilimanjaro Premium Lager manager, George Kavishe, asked the two sides’ fans, especially Simba, to pull their socks in the campaign to enable the Msimbazi side to collect more in their ‘money league’ against Yanga.

Simba had, until Wednesday this week, collected 17,900,000/- compared to Yanga who had 62, 100,000/- while on Tuesday, Simba had 20,115,000/- while Yanga had 59,885,000/-.
On Monday, Simba had 20,445,000/- while Yanga had 59,555,000/-.
