Form groups to boost business capital
Small Industries Development Organisation (SIDO) Acting Manager Salma Galasi yesterday told Dodoma entrepreneurs to form groups to enable them to get financial institutions’ loans instead of operating as individuals.Closing SMEs trainer of training workshop on leather processing and manufacturing, Galasi said: “If you use these opportunities, you will be able to win the market and sell leather products profitably.”
The entrepreneurs were trained to use available opportunities at SIDO, which is collaborating with the Netherlands Development Organisation (SNV), aimed at increasing their expertise in making quality leather products.
Thirty-five entrepreneurs who took part in the training during SIDO was requested to increase equipment for manufacturing of leather products.
Dodoma District Commissioner Leffy Gembe urged the participants to make good leather products that meet both local and international markets.
Gembe said owing to competition from foreign products it is crucial entrepreneurs produced products that can compete with foreign goods.
