Airtel introduces airport priority pass, 30 pct discount on shopping, lounges

Airtel Tanzania has launched the Premier Card that allows their travelling customers priority pass at airports and awards them up to 30 per cent discount in supermarkets, hotels and restaurants across700 airport lounges globally.

This gives Airtel customers the opportunity to get away from crowded airport spaces and access an oasis of calm in participating exclusive lounges t
hat offer refreshments, comfortable seating and other services enhancing their travel experience.

Speaking at the launch of the innovative product, Minister of State Dr Mary Nagu commended Airtel for introducing the Premier card which she said recognizes, appreciates and supports mobile marketing.

“Despite the industry facing many challenges, Airtel strives to improve the lives of its subscribers…I believe the priority pass will serve as a good platform to establish business relationships and contacts as well as explore business opportunities across the world,” she said.

Airtel Managing Director Sunil Colaso said they have introduced the reward system to acknowledge loyalty of premier customers.

“We are confident that access to these lounges will not only enhance their travels but also provide them the opportunity to establish lasting and meaningful relationships with people they encounter with as they travel,” he said.

In their new bouquet of premium services, Airtel Tanzania has also introduced the home Wi-Fi solution that allows users to set-up personalised Family Wi-Fi at home and connect up to 32 smart devices.

In addition, users can also add up to 4 members on the same Wi-Fi and remotely give seamless 3G Internet access on their mobile devices anywhere throughout Tanzania.

This means that with the Airtel Family Wi-Fi solution, clients need not to top-up multiple bundles for individual devices, rather, the whole family can use internet from one bundle.
