Actor Perry set for leadership meeting in Dar

Prominent American actor Tyler Perry will be among the speakers in an international meeting on leadership slated to take place in Dar es Salaam at the weekend.

Perry, born on September 13, 1969, is an actor, director, composer, producer and songwriter specializing in gospel. He wrote and produced most of his works in 1990s and early 2000s.

In 2011, Forbes announced him as the best paid ac
tor, having earned USD 130m between May 2010 and 2011.

The event will also be attended by politicians, domestic and international speakers, who will present different topics on leadership.

A resident representative of American-based institution, Willow Creek, Mbutho Chibwaye, said it has been organizing the meeting annually and this year's meeting is expected to take place at Victory Christian Center Church at Mbezi B. He said the church's band will perform in the event.

The meeting, Mbutho said, gears towards enabling Tanzanians learn leadership and bring positive changes to their society.

Tanzania Assemblies of God (TAG) Church secretary, Reverend Ron Swai, is expected to be the guest of honour in the meeting.
Mbutho said then meeting has been extremely beneficial to participants.
